Get to know animals in a traditional rural courtyard setting.
Would you like to visit grandma's place? You can brush a lovely pony or a big Finnish horse! Would you dare to peek if there are eggs in the chicken coop? How about a carriage ride with a small pony? In grandma's cottage, we eat real home-cooked food and indulge in pancakes with berry jam.
Leskelän Mummon Hevospiha offers families and groups the opportunity for an easy and relaxed day exploring animals in a traditional rural setting. There’s a small petting zoo and Granny’s summer café. Admission to the petting zoo is 10 €/person, and children aged 1 and under enter for free. Visiting the summer café doesn’t require purchasing a ticket for the petting zoo.
To learn about the farm’s residents and its history, you can book the ‘Granny’s Farm Adventure’ mini-package by calling/emailing at least the day before. The guided mini-tour lasts about an hour, costs 10 €/person with a minimum of 3 people. During the tour, you’ll get to feed and pet horses, sheep, and other animals on the farm while hearing stories dating back to the 1600s. Available in English.
There’s also an option to book the ‘Granny’s Stable Day’ family package, where together we’ll meet the farm’s rescue animals, have supervised pony care, and try hand-led horseback riding or carriage rides. Additionally, you’ll have the chance to pet and feed the other residents of the farm while learning stories about life on the farm dating back to the 1600s. Also available in English.
